Zlatan Musić

Zlatan Musić, a Master of Administrative Law and European Union Fund Management, currently holds the position of Head of the Project Unit for projects financed by international funds at the Development Guarantee Fund of Brčko District of BiH, as well as Manager of the Socio-Economic Inclusion Center on the SEI project – implemented by CARE International and funded by the Czech Development Agency.

Mr. Musić has over 22 years of professional experience in managing projects and programs funded by international organizations in both government and non-government sectors in BiH and the Western Balkans region. Among other roles, he has served as the Director of the SOS Children’s Village Program in Gračanica – BiH, Public Policy Advisor at WWF Adria, Gender Equality and Youth Policy Expert at USAID GAP, Team Leader for process reengineering in the USAID LGA project, and Project Officer before the USAID GAP project for over 8 years. In addition to the mentioned 10 long-term employments in USAID, EU, Sida, EKN, and other projects, he has worked as a consultant/short-term expert over 70 times on local development management tasks in local government units in BiH, including strategy development, monitoring and evaluation, project cycle management, and evaluation of projects and programs in collaboration with over 100 local government units in BiH. Furthermore, during his professional career, he led the quality assessment/evaluation of over 1000 project applications for IPA I and II Cross-border Cooperation Programs (IPA CBC BiH, Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro), transnational programs Interreg Adrion and Adriatic, and holds several official certificates and recommendations in this field. He specializes in managing local community development, and for two years, he also lectured in project management methodology at the Faculty of Administration, UNSA. He acquired presentation skills through over 50 professional trainings with international experts and transferred this knowledge to over 500 participants in various training sessions and presentations on a wide range of topics. He is fluent in English and has practical experience over several decades in preparing reports and analyses for international organizations and projects of general significance, especially on issues such as development management, local integrity, moderation and facilitation, human resources management, and EU project management methodology. He has published several professional papers on topics such as process reengineering and quality management in public administration, youth participation in traditional political organizations, published by the University of Sarajevo, and was also a one-year scholar at the SOROS Open Society Foundation and the Initiative for Local Government and Civil Service Reform in Budapest. Additionally, he is a certified trainer in strategic planning, project management, results-based management, project and program evaluation, and holds over 40 written references for his professional experience. Together with his colleagues, he aims to leverage his experience in the operationalization and sustainability of the work of the Socio-Economic Inclusion Center on the SEI project.
