SEI Project team informs Donor about activities in 2025

The SEI project’s expert team held the third partnership meeting yesterday, September 1, 2025, with representatives from the Czech Development Agency and Czech CARE, including Anna Dostálová and Ludmila Kucer. This meeting provided an opportunity for the project donor, the Government of the Czech Republic, to receive a detailed update on the project’s progress and planned activities for 2025.

During the meeting, particular emphasis was placed on how the SEI project is advancing its primary goal—enhancing socio-economic opportunities in the Brčko District through inclusive policies—while also strengthening civil society organizations, supporting vulnerable population groups, and developing the Center for Socio-Economic (Self-)Employment, including the Business Incubator at the SEI Center.

Among other points, the implementation activities were clarified as follows:

  • Regular meetings of the Executive and Advisory Boards;
  • Mid-term project evaluation based on recommendations from the report;
  • Implementation of the project’s communication strategy, including visual identity and media promotion;
  • Awareness campaigns targeting vulnerable citizens, continuous public calls for training programs, and grant opportunities;
  • Removal of architectural barriers and facilitation of access to services;
  • Capacity building of local civil society organizations to better support beneficiaries;
  • Development of the SEI Business Incubator, a digital online information platform, and grant programs;
  • Advocacy and promotional activities to raise awareness about the rights and needs of vulnerable groups.

Special attention was given to supporting innovative initiatives, the green economy, and digitalization, as well as to exchanging experiences with Balkan partners in the field of best practices.
